Noumea, New Caledonia

About the programme

The University of New Caledonia hosts an annual French Summer School, renowned for its immersion in Melanesian culture, with a three-week course to improve your French in a biodiversity hotspot. UNC welcomes students from overseas partner institutions, including the University of Auckland, from mid-November to early December each year. The program is customised to meet students’ needs, and it is dedicated to students with at least an A2+ level in French from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. Based on an exciting range of educational and cultural activities, the curriculum aims at introducing students to New Caledonia’s linguistic, cultural, and environmental diversity. Participants will be able to experience the New Caledonian student way of life, staying in the local university student residence.
