Claire Kang
Prime Minister’s Scholarship for Asia, Reimagining India Study Tour
Introduction
Kia ora! My name is Claire, and I study Law and Science, majoring in Geography and Environmental Science. My family is from Korea, but I was born and raised here in Tāmaki Makaurau.
I have strong interests in global development, sustainability and community involvement, so the Reimagining India programme sounded like an amazing opportunity to further develop these passions! This experience will no doubt also challenge my perspectives, and I’m excited about the new knowledge I’ll gain and be able to share.
I’m really looking forward to exploring a new country with new and like-minded people and constantly being inspired by what’s happening around me. Of course, I’m also looking forward to the food, especially all the different fruits! I hope my time in India will help how I understand our history and future here in Aotearoa.

Seeing the scale and diversity…Continue…
