Prime Minister’s Scholarship for Asia, Reimagining India with IndoGenius
Introduction
Kia ora! My name is Adela Plakic, I was born and raised in Tāmaki Makaurau, although my parents are originally from Kosovo in Ex-Yugoslavia. I’m currently at the University of Auckland/Waipapa Taumata Rau studying for a Bachelor of Science Honours degree majoring in Psychology. One thing I really look forward to for the ReImagining India trip is engaging in meaningful interactions with the communities that we meet, and witnessing firsthand the initiatives undertaken by non-profits in areas like women empowerment and healthcare. Each step will have it’s own story to share about India, and I can’t wait to see what the next six weeks bring.
