Nikita Irene
Prime Minister’s Scholarship for Asia, Korean Language Study Abroad
Introduction
Hello everyone, my name is Nikita Irene, I was born in Indonesia but moved to New Zealand when I was about 6 years old and have lived there since. I am currently 19 years old and am a stage 1 student majoring in Korean and Education in the University of Auckland.
Since I am majoring in Korean and I love the language a lot, when my lecturer Mi Yung showed us this amazing programme I knew I had to apply for it and I was lucky enough to get one of the spots! Since there are both individual and group programmes, I decided to apply for the group one since I feel much more comfortable in a group setting.
I am most looking forward to meeting new people and making new friends along with improving my skills in the Korean language. I say this because in the future I would love to be a kindergarten teacher in Korea and teach them English.
