Introduction
Ko Aoraki te maunga
Ko Waikouaiti te awa
Ko Hayley McKenzie tōku ingoa
My name is Hayley McKenzie; I was raised in the farming suburbs of South Auckland and recently moved out to live closer to uni. I am studying a conjoint Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Business, majoring in Communications, Management, and Marketing.
I chose to apply for iWinter MX to gain life experience and grow as a person. I have never travelled alone, experienced culture shock or really been out of my comfort zone. I wanted to take this opportunity to learn and experience things I wouldn’t normally do.
I am most looking forward to meeting new people, being involved in a new culture and expanding my knowledge of business, particularly on an international scale which I haven’t learnt before. This benefits my studies in becoming more educated and a better global citizen for my community and any future business endeavours I wish to take.
My aspirations for the future are to see the world and work for myself; I hope that this experience truly broadens my opportunities and aids me in achieving my aspirations with both experiences and connections.
