Yu Liang

Chinese University of Hong Kong

Introduction

Hello everyone!👋🏻

My name is Yu Liang, and I am in my second university year. I major in Communication and Media, Film and Television in UoA. I expect to share my learning and living experiences with you during my exchange at the Chinese University of Hong Kong😙🎶

I chose Hong Kong as my exchange destination because I am interested in Hong Kong’s film industry. The film director I mostly admire is Wong Kar-Wai, and my favorite movie is Chungking Express. I have watched it several times and was touched by the movie each time. But I was always confused by a question: if I am from Hong Kong, how will I evaluate these films and the whole Hong Kong film industry? I would answer myself by supplementing a new cultural perspective during my exchange at CUHK.

Excepting answers for me, I am also seeking new destinations for my life. Like Auckland, my hometown is also a quiet and peaceful city in mainland China. Being a prosperous and modern city, Hong Kong seems to express an entirely different lifestyle from Auckland. I also had been to CUHK and was impressed by the abundant cultural background. So, I expect to attempt a new lifestyle during my exchange and find the most convenient one for my future.

And finally…can’t wait to share my new adventure with you!

In these canteens, you can taste delicious food cheaper than outside. Most accept paying…Continue…

  • How to go to a Destination?

Some readers may be confused when reading here: why should I talk about travelling on campus specifically? Believe me, it’s a really essential part of your CUHK experience. As we know (or Google knows), CUHK is situated on a mountain. Sometimes, if your accommodation is at the foot of the mountain and your classroom is…Continue…
