Introduction
Kia Ora! My name is Jahnavi, and I’m studying a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Politics & International Relations) conjoint.
2025 will be my fifth year at UoA, so I thought, why not mix it up and go on an exchange? After a lot of research, I chose to study at the University of Leeds in the UK. For me, it was important to choose an area that would translate well with my Law degree, especially since I will only be doing law electives while on the exchange. UoL seemed like just the place for this, offering electives that I believe will positively contribute to my passion for helping others access justice.
I am looking forward to this completely new experience and applying what I have learned here in Aotearoa. My biggest goal is to push myself out of my comfort zone, do lots of travel and approach everything with an “all-in” mindset. The UK has such a diverse culture and educational system that I cannot wait to immerse myself in, and I am so excited to take you along the way!! <3
