Introduction
Hello! My name is Chantelle, and I am a fifth-year law and arts student at UoA, majoring in Criminology and Politics and International Relations.
I have been dreaming of going on a semester exchange for the past six years, and I am so excited to spend a semester abroad at Utrecht University in the Netherlands in the first half of 2025, focusing on the law side of my degree.
I’m particularly looking forward to connecting with my Dutch heritage whilst studying in the Netherlands, improving my Dutch and trying to remember how to ride a bike to get around Utrecht and the rest of the country (and seeing some tulip fields, obviously!).
I’m also looking forward to gaining a broader perspective on law against the backdrop of significant international legal institutions such as the International Court of Justice, and pushing myself out of my comfort zone whilst studying overseas.
I love to write in my spare time, so I’m really excited to have this opportunity to share my experiences whilst on exchange!
