Introduction
Kia ora! こんにちは！
I’m Arwyn, a second-year student studying a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Japanese, with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in International Business and Marketing. I have a passion for travelling and exploring both on land and scuba diving in the ocean. So, if I am not on campus, you will find me hanging out up a Mountain or 40m below at sea.
So why not take the adventure scale up a notch this year and journey to Japan on an exchange?
In semester two 2024 I will be studying at Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan, where I will dive into a mix of Japanese language and arts courses.
Going to a place I have yet to explore, I expect to be pushed outside my comfort zone and sometimes feel out of my depth. However, this excites me. I am most eager to study ideas from new perspectives to test my worldview and what I think is “normal.” While navigating student life in Japan, I cannot wait to meet new people to share stories, experiences, and laughs with. Whether it is conquering course deadlines or Mt Fuji, I look forward to giving it my all!
